Teatro alla Scala

The world famous Teatro Alla Scala underwent a significant restoration and renovation process in the past years. Work started in January 2002 and lasted over three seasons.

Milan council chose Mario Botta’s architectural project and Elisabetta Fabbri’s restoration plan, while work on the stage machinery and coordination efforts were managed by Ing. Franco Malagrande. At that time, the reopening of the theatre museum (Museo Teatrale alla Scala), along the lines of Luigi Pizzi’s proposal, was decided.

TMA designed and supplied the parterre seats, equipped with a seatback display capable of simultaneous translation of the operas into 9 languages.

Essepi produced the parterre seats.
